Corona
Corona is an Italian Eurodance act formed by Francesco Bontempi with Ivana and Giorgio Spagna, who found success in 1994 with the worldwide hit, "The Rhythm of the Night". Corona is fronted by Brazilian-born performer/singer Olga Souza (born Olga Maria de Souza, on 16 July 1968, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).
The project's debut single was "The Rhythm Of The Night". It was released in Italy in December 1993 on the DWA record label, and became an instant hit. It stayed at number 1 on the Italian music chart for thirteen consecutive weeks. However, the song was not released elsewhere until the following year. A remixed version of the song became a number 1 hit in the United Kingdom in September 1994. It contained samples from Bizarre Inc's song "Playing With Knives", and Say When!'s "Save Me"
Corona's sophomore album "Walking On Music" was issued in 1998. Although the album was no successful, the albums' two singles "Walking On Music" and "The Power Of Love" found minor success in the U.S. dance clubs. Their third album, recorded under name Corona X was titled "And Me U." This album was released in Brazil only. Corona issued such singles as "I'll Be Your Lady" (which Olga wrote herself) and "Back In Time" which became a moderate chart hit in Italy. Corona's fourth album, "Y Generation" was released in 2010. The album features the singles "Angel", "Saturday" and "My Song."
